SNRIR, in partnership with the Medical Sciences Academy and the University of Medicine and Pharmacy “Grigore T. Popa”, Iași, organizes the first Edition of the Regional Multidisciplinary Symposium on Endovascular Technique, to be held at the “Sfantul Ioan cel Nou” Emergency Conty Hospital in Suceava, between 4-5 of April, 2019.
The event addresses the medical and scientific community and covers the participation of international specialists in interventional radiology, such as PhD. Prof. Muzaffer Olcay Çizmeli, Professor of Radiology at the Acibadem University in Turkey, Mariano Palena, MD, head of the Interventional Radiology department of the Abano Terme Polyclinic in Italy, and Rolf Dammrau, MD, cardiovasculary surgeon in Dueren, Germany.
The Symposium aims at bringing to the attention subjects of interest for the specialist in interventional radiology and related fields. The main sessions will focus on subjects such as the acute ischemic stroke, critical limb ischemia in diabetic patients – the reality in the field and the under-financing of the endovascular procedures.
During the secound day of the event, the Academy of Medical Sciences will present the project “The Development of the current R&D infrastructure and the development of new infrastructures” – phase 2. Co-financed by the European Fund for Regional Development, the project`s scope is to increase the R&D capacity in the field of angiography for 17 medical units in Romania, as part of the emerging cluster AngioNET.
During the event, the new SNRIR website will be launches – the website is an online platform that offers educational resources for its members, and for other doctors and scientists in the field of interventional radiology, and also offers support for the patients, covering information in the conditions and procedures that can be performed using interventional radiology. The platform also features an online database containing the contact details of the specialists in Romania.
